    New Class E

    Hi All,

I own a flat next to a previously classed A3 cafe. It has been noted in previous remortgage applications (owned since 2003), that the lenders often don’t like lending next to commercial properties, but I’ve not had an issue to date. It’s in a desirable area and my LTV was...

I asked them that and they said it wasn’t discretionary it was governed by law. Either way I have it in writing but they aren’t going by the terms of their own letter

Thank you. There won’t be any future gain from rent However as the property will be sold, and I’ll pay the CGT and close the self assessment tax account. Looks like I’ll have to write it off. Thank you for replying, appreciate it....

    Early redemption fee

    Hi all,

Ive just agreed the sale of my BLT flat. There is a hefty £10,500 early redemption fee to pay when the flat is sold. I understand I can’t offset this against the capital gains tax, but would be able to claim it as a deductible expense on my self assessment return. However the...
