    Absolutely agree JP.
So as you can see I am back from Europe. My Italian is good enough to have a few chats about Brexit - people fully understand why we want to leave though they hate their own government more than they hate the EU! Saw a menu offering a Brexit pizza - did not dare go in and...

absoultely jp. Anyway off to my beloved Europe for a while soon - we may (fingers crossed) Brexit whilst I am away. Am I worried? Not at all. Enjoy your sure and certain knowledge of being absolutely correct Macromia...I do not take it personally at all just trying to stop you making silly statements...

I simply cannot let that one go Buzzard. The idiot who plotted to murder Rosie Cooper had NOTHING to do with Brexit. This is a fairly local story to me which I have followed with interest. He was a neo-Nazi and an idiot. Brexit had absolutely nothing to do with it. This is what is wrong with the debate...

It could be much simpler. May's deal or leave. That is essentially remain or leave

"You should be happy with a second referendum since the poll gives you some comfort that it might still go your way"

Although I think it would be an insult to democracy I am not afriad of a second Leave v Remain referendum. However that would not be the question. It would be most...

"And it looks like the Brexs*it mess may make that re-evaluation happen."

I thought you were better than using that sort of expression Nukecad. Does nothing to assist your argument...

It is amazing how people quote polls to defend their views when the polls agree with them and then say they are meaningless when they don't! I agree polls are not much use but when they are quoted at me I am sorry I cannot resist. I know I should. I will self medicate later as it is Friday.
    As...

Well we all know how reliable polls are....seen today:
    • ICM poll found 28% of voters back a no deal Brexit - the most popular choice
Oh and look - the yougov poll you quoted buzzard finds that 49% of those answering want to leave the EU in some way (although 23% of those are happy with May's deal or...

very funny Macromia but I think you missed the point. Your "punishment" would be my extreme pleasure!

"The EU is not "punishing" Britain - if it wanted to do that it would simply say off you go then"

My goodness I wish it would! If that is punishment then I am most certainly a masochist....

Are you Jean-Claude in disguise Macromia? I wonder why you believe so little in this country? I fundamentally disagree with your view of the situation. Of course they will not talk trade: https://www.theguardian.com/politics...al-terms-of-br...

  • Years ago I rented a place and the LL unfairly withheld the deposit. When I challenged her she said her "husband was a Policeman" as if that would scare me. I told her he should therefore know the law and that what she was doing was illegal. Had a fight but got every penny back!

You will not be surprised to hear that the situation we find ourselves in is the fault of the EU itself, which point blank refused to discuss trade until the "divorce" was done. Yes people wanted a TRADE deal. A trade deal SHOULD have been easy to agree to mutual advantage except that the...

With the greatest of respect these conclusions are a) wrong and b) contradictory. Corbyn's outcome (as far as we can judge from the vague info he has given us) will most certainly NOT represent the wishes of Brexit voters. It could not be further from what I (and millions of others) actually want ie...

But would our communist friend? He has been anti-EU all his life until now. He sniffs power and suddenly wants a close relationship, betraying millions of Leave Labour voters...we live in interesting times. I will be abroad on 12th April. I sincerely hope the EU refuses an extension (though they will...

Except it is not only a viable option but the only option that ensures a decent future for this country. You and I could argue all day JP and neither of us would change our position so we must agree to disagree. This is a bit like being in Parliament today!

Except...if No Deal we would be out. So no backstop. A mutually negotiated deal, yes. Citizens rights already offered by UK (EU stalling). The huge divorce bill is exactly that. It does not ONLY meet obligations. The amount of those is up for negotiation. Bless the good old Remainers at CNN
