    It’s a terrace house split into two flats. I own first floor flat with a leasehold and ground floor flat comes with the freehold. Service charge is 50/50. We had some work done to get subsidence cover so I understand that the premium would be higher, just didn’t expect it to be that much higher....

    They are charging £1192.08 on my service charge demand but the actual cost of the building insurance is £1085.35 giving them a 10% profit. Do you mean the contract they have with the freeholder? This is on top of the managing agent fee they already charge. Sorry I am probably not understanding it...

    My building insurance have increased from being around £400-500 til £1100-1200. This has happened after the freeholder has let the managing agent arrange it. I have noticed that from the insurance premium, which I requested to see, there is a 10% increase in what I am being changed in the service...
