claiming for visits to let properties - what's considered reasonable?

    newbie so please be gentle!

I haven't previously claimed mileage for visits to my let properties as they have a) been quite seldom, b) they are close by and c) they are fully managed by an agent.
Mindful that 'every little helps', i'd appreciate views on how many visits per year might be considered reasonable by HMRC.

HMRC consider that, for agent managed properties, only journeys from their office to the property can be for the business.

I am not sure that HMRC are necessarily correct in all circumstances, IMHO.

HMRC would consider reasonable the number of visits that you actually made to your properties that were 100% for the purpose of the business.
They might request evidence, like a contemporary mileage record or diary entry.
When I post, I am expressing an opinion - feel free to disagree, I have been wrong before.
Please don't act on my suggestions without checking with a grown-up (ideally some kind of expert).
