    Limited or not....

    Dear All

    Need advise on the following
    • Funds stuck in Limited Company waiting to be invested.
    • Question - Will the Limited Company "that has never held a Property" be made liable for SDLT on its first purchase (I am the sole director and personally hold 1 BTL and 1 main)
    • If yes, at what percentage (Property value (HMO) of the new purchase is less than £500K. )

    Thanks

    1 - How?
    2 - Yes.
3 - Companies pay the surcharged +3% SDLT.
When I post, I am expressing an opinion - feel free to disagree, I have been wrong before.
Please don't act on my suggestions without checking with a grown-up (ideally some kind of expert).

The limited company will pay sdlt +3% on purchase of residential property.

      The sdlt rate is 0-£125K = 0% , Between £125K- £250K is 2% and Between £250-£500K is 5% + 3% on the sale price..
