    Fish On Friday

As I was not expected to be back until 9, the LHA household binged on fish to which I am mortally allergic- Superman has kryptonite , I have kippers.

I did however call at 7 to say I was early and getting a cab at Gatport Airwick and was told “don’t come in, fish”.

Like a Cat I smiled widely as that meant, for me, “Pizza!! “.

I was not in 5 minutes, going round the garden to the shed, when the pizza man arrived, having ordered in the taxi, and I sat there waving, eating with impunity, all that cheesy goodness.

Talking of cats they were bouncing bushy tailed and wide eyed like a couple of kids who had found Mum and Dad’s chocolate stash and eaten the lot.
Having gorged themselves they lolled down the path, sashayed into the shed and collapsed, in heaps, on the sofa.

I now have a prescription to take lots of walks this weekend to “work it off”. I suggested something else but was told I've had enough indulgence

Having arrived at 66yrs old I concluded it doesn't make much odds (say dying 10 minutes earlier..) if I drink too much/eat too much/smoke fags....etc etc..

Mrs A was convinced Artful was drinking too much (how so??) and demanded I demand full liver function test from quack: I embarrassedly 'phoned very nice quack, explained why I was asking & offered to pay for the test: After a pleasant chat I was surprised to be told to nip down the local hospital, gratis, & have a variety of 5 tests... (no, I hadn't spent 3 weeks off the sauce to get better results..).

'Phoned doctor's surgery a week or so later to hear the news of my impending demise & prescribed diet of rice & water: Only to be told they were all "NNA". What's NNA asked I?? - "Negative, no action required" says the receptionist:

I am now drinking more than before. Mrs A not happy: Ah, the law of unintended consequences...

Anyone else heard my favourite translation of
    Carpe Diem
    ??...
    "Fish today"
I have known several people who worked on fish-farms or fish processing plants in the west highlands of Scotland (mainly Salmon): They would not eat the results.....
I am legally unqualified: If you need to rely on advice check it with a suitable authority - eg a solicitor specialising in landlord/tenant law...

Is this related to the current trouble with Scottish Salmond. He seems to be making a lot of people sick at the moment. Most of the bi-products are unpalatable.
