If Mrs T is claiming any benefits, having Mr T live with her might affect her claim.

[QUOTE=In terms of damage, say for example they breAk down the walls, cut the joists to the first floor , rip sealing down , etc etc, can the police Assist with this....[/QUOTE]
I'd imagine chances of them being found alive under all that rubble are fairly slim, anyway so it's all academic!

- Rental properties should have modern facilities and services and be lacking in no more than two of the following:
- a modern kitchen (20 years old or less)
- a kitchen with adequate space and layout
- a modern bathroom (30 years old or less)
- an appropriately located bathroom and lavatory
- adequate insulation from external noise (if external noise is a problem)
- adequate size and layout of common areas for blocks of flats.
- Rental properties should also provide a reasonable degree of thermal comfort – the accommodation must have both effective insulation and efficient heating.
- The external structure and also external areas – including roofs and fences – should also be well maintained and safe. Windows and doors must also be secure and operational (eg can be opened and shut securely).
- Plumbing and heating should also be well maintained with smoke alarms and carbon monoxide alarms fitted and regular Gas Safe checks carried out.
- Damage to belongings (eg mildew, water damage)
- Illness or injury (eg caused by damp or CO poisoning)
- Inconvenience (eg resulting from not being able to use your home fully)
- Stress (eg depression, worry, anxiety).

by jessa46Has anyone else heard about the 'reset' and that we won't be allowed to have money in the bank or multiple properties? It does sound far-fetched but I would have laughed in the face of anyone who said we'd have lockdowns etc, this time last year.

by CodgerMy neighbour is cutting blocks for their drive and making big dustclouds. Luckily for me the wind is blowing it away but if it was not I would be breathing cement dust and my car would be smothered as well. Is there a wet dustfree way to cut up blocks?

Reply to Cement dustby nukecadHand saw and/or hammer and chisel. (Yes you can get hand saws for concrete).
It's power tools that create a lot of dust.
In workshops you have vacuum extractors, but on site hardly anyone bothers.-

Reply to Cement dustby 1600eNo. I've used both types cutting concrete building blocks, dry- the dust was terrible, wet and there was practically none but I had to wear water proof suit or I got soaked.

Reply to Cement dustby CodgerI expect the water feed makes it cut better. I just discovered my rotary shaver works better when wet. I had been doing it dry for 50 years before discovering that.
