My local council is in touch with an organisation that will rent your property off you for a minimum of 5 years, guaranteed rent and looked after less fair w&t. They then house refugees in it.

There's a process available where for a fee (I think it's £50.00), the tenant can be summoned to court to have their financial situation reviewed and a repayment plan "agreed".
Not attending the review is a criminal offence.
Now if we could just do that before the tenancy...
