If a blockage occurs despite the tenant behaving in a tenant-like manner however, then the landlord is liable for the repair.
Blockages? Sounds exactly like 'tenant-like behaviour' to me.

Regarding the fictional repairs he hasn’t let the.agency know of any repairs that needs doing thankfully so he’s not pulling that trick

It's not just the landlord they have to consider, it's also the perspective tenant......
Surely that depends on where you are standing....

You are required to ensure that the communal electrical system is safe, and a fiver yearly inspection usually fulfils that requirement.
Where is this electrician who only charges a fiver?

As far as judges are concerned, that's about right. It is: 'more or less grounds for eviction, but not if I can help it'.

Well I guess a tent could be under a valid AST, albeit problems probably with HHSRS & room sizes....

You could point out that lawns fix themselves naturally and if the landlord wants to buy you some seed, you’re prepared to sew it, because why not?

Harvest is something like September to November - maybe they'll all be through the queues by Christmas but priority is likely to still be given to medicines and fresh food. Perhaps our incompetent government will have got some extra ferry contracts then, perhaps not. Of course the pound would drop again...

well according to the iindependent "Considering that chestnuts have now become so enshrined in our Christmas tradition, it's surprising that few, if in fact any, of those bought in the UK are home-grown. Most come from Europe, especially Portugal and France. " It takes 3-5 years for a chestnut...

It's not possible because no one was interested in following the "Norway model".
For brexiteers it left the UK worse off than now, because Norway doesn't negotiate it's own international deals.
For remainers it's worse than remaining, with all of the costs and none of the benefits...

So I rest my case - it was possible but it was not done because there is no will to do it. If we had really been intending to leave this would not have been an issue. It has been made an issue to ensure we stay in the EU. If the EU had agreed to talk trade over the 2 years then everything could have...

Norway is in the Single Market - it abides by all EU customs regulations (without having a say in them, beyond "consultation").

The border need not be a problem. It is a problem because there is no will to make it not a problem. Norway and Sweden manage it. 1,600km and 80 crossings...

But this is exactly what the DUP, who hold the power, do not want to happen. Because, then NI would be different from the rest of the Uk, and it would look like a united Ireland....
