He said this friend has a big heroine problem....
Ah, joy, a big heroine: Wagnerian almost: I'm going weak at the knees dreaming about her...

... there is no requirement to send PI within 30 days and the tenant is doomed to not know his own contact details.
If the tenant-loving press is to be believed, the tenant is doomed in so many other ways too.

When in UK he does Security contract work and his net income is about £10k pa. He says his net income from earnings abroad and other un-earned income totals £3000k per month.
Why is he working in the UK at all, and why is he renting?

Section 21 he has to give you 2 months notice from the date of the notice to move out If you dont then he has to begin proceedings to evict you which he can do under the accleratated process unless you can argue at the time of the section 21 that he did not comply with the improvement notice that the council had served him with or that he did not protect your deposit or provide the prescribed information for the appropiate scheme
                Nice and clear?

The new Landlord Registration website will launch on Monday (13th February) form 13:00 hrs.

The new system will not have User Accounts, as the previous system had. Therefore you will not access your Registrations via usernames and passwords, but via a one-time password emailed to your Registered email address by the system, after entering 3 pieces of data:

                  • Name
                  • Registration Number
                  • Date of Birth

The one-time password will be valid for 30 minutes.
What if you intend to be a landlord for longer than half an hour?

I think this question should be in the 'Design, Repair, Improve' section, shouldn't it?

It's like asking if the birthmark on your penis is something to be worried about without mentioning you're a woman.
                      That's a good one.

The answer is probably to compel all property owners to carry out the inspections.

Yes, I know I've edited this slightly, but the reply made me chuckle.

& I'd been puzzling how you could "immigrate" (into a country) and him being in Yorkshire explains all.....

I bet you guys know what I mean by pilot error.

It's when your tenant calls you out saying something is faulty when they don't know how to use it. Today the lady who couldn't open her Washer Dryer a couple of months ago called to tell me that the heater in her spare room wasn't working....

My friend's BMW is still at the garage, so he has been using his old Audi A6 automatic estate.

He rang me this afternoon: Could I give him a lift to pick up his wife from work, as the Audi was now playing up? The symptoms he described sounded like a binding handbrake, so I suggested I put...

And the EU cannot leave the withdrawal agreement without the UK's permission - the arrangement works both ways.
But, both the UK and the EU get to leave the withdrawal agreement once a more permanent trade deal of some type has been agreed (or if the transition period comes to an end without a...

Looks like the government is on the verge of repatriating 150,000 holidaymakers over the next 48 hours and yet people seem to think they're not capable of putting food or medicine on the shelves after we leave the EU.

Still no meaningful and definitive list of the proposed benefits anywhere.
Even if only so that in, say, a decade, we can check to see if they've been achieved.
