    What at I am annoyed with is that the tenants got gnus installed without my say so.

    Sorry J20 I meant no offence I just really did not understand why the council would get involved with a private tenant. From the other replies and the power of google I have found out where the council can butt in! Although I don't think it applies as it mentioned that you have 14 days to respond to the the tenants issues which I do.
    Optimism of 1st time landlord? Loving my new user name, BTW.

    I really needed to sell or get her to pay rent, her family verbally attacked me but we managed to get over this and she got 600 hounding benefit which she pays me

    I did my own investigation around the tenant and went and spoke to his previous two landlords. I found that he was kicked out from his previous place as they misbehaved with the landlady.
    Was landlady kicked out also?
