A post I read today made me chuckle..
I have been to court and have been given a procession order[I]The opinions I give are simply my opinions and interpretations of what I have learnt, in numerous years as a property professional, I would not rely upon them without consulting with a paid advisor and providing them with all the relevant facts[I]

Been looking at hotel reviews on a travel forum and this posting from a Russian lady made me chuckle. I can't read it without doing a Russian accent.
"The lifegards near the swiming pool and water-slide chute sometimes are too relax . My ten years old dauther slided down on water-slide chute for children. A lifegard was there on the top of the chute but don't regulated the movement. He let a boy go down the chute before my dauther came to the chute end. Result was a strong hit to her head by the foot of slide down boy."

Well that's better than the reviews from the owners saying what a wonderful place and jolly time was had in their absolute dump
We stayed in a Hotel and Conference Centre for two nights, marked as 4 stars, and it was likely both in 1982. We checked in and didn't have lot of choice to change hotel and as I went straight to do emails & logged and posted a very derisory and truthful description eg "Suite? the only suite was the one on the pillow and that was stale" etc.
In under an hour the owner knocked on the door and sat down and actually had an honest discussion about what we thought and upgraded us to their best "cottage" -they had bungalows, and said dinner was on them, as he could not argue with what I had said.
They have changed up, but the best review at the time was " do yourself a favor and buy a tent and sleep in the car park"Based on the information posted, I offer my thoughts.Any action you then take is your liability. While commending individual effort, there is no substitute for a thorough review of documents and facts by paid for professional advisers.

by jpkeatesI'd do a great deal not to be associated in the slightest with Richard Madeley.

In my free time I like to read books. I cannot pretend that they are either highbrow fiction or non-fiction books. Tried that stuff (once I think!) but it doesn’t offer me the same kind of escapism I need from all the landlording (and I don’t understand all the bigly words).

Tom Wood, Barry Eisler, and Mark Gimenez should have been on my list above as read them all and good enough to be recommended. As for Steve Cavanagh - he is on my top few list above as his Eddie Flynn novels are exceptional.
Not tried the rest on your list so thanks for the tips....-

Top Few:
Like most of them.
Not a Harlen Coben fan (don't know why, ticks the right boxes, but just can't get on with his work - brilliant set ups, though).
And thanks for the pointers for the one's I don't recognise!
I stopped reading Stephen Leather...-
