BTW what a great industry to be in - Indemnity Insurance - pay me a few quid for a risk that I'll never have to pay out on and I'll insure anything!!!
Sure, and if there's a pandemic and you're told to shut your business, we'll pay up... unless it's a disease we've never heard of before.

by jessa46Has anyone else heard about the 'reset' and that we won't be allowed to have money in the bank or multiple properties? It does sound far-fetched but I would have laughed in the face of anyone who said we'd have lockdowns etc, this time last year.

by CodgerMy neighbour is cutting blocks for their drive and making big dustclouds. Luckily for me the wind is blowing it away but if it was not I would be breathing cement dust and my car would be smothered as well. Is there a wet dustfree way to cut up blocks?

Reply to Cement dustby nukecadHand saw and/or hammer and chisel. (Yes you can get hand saws for concrete).
It's power tools that create a lot of dust.
In workshops you have vacuum extractors, but on site hardly anyone bothers.-

Reply to Cement dustby 1600eNo. I've used both types cutting concrete building blocks, dry- the dust was terrible, wet and there was practically none but I had to wear water proof suit or I got soaked.

Reply to Cement dustby CodgerI expect the water feed makes it cut better. I just discovered my rotary shaver works better when wet. I had been doing it dry for 50 years before discovering that.
