    England's Football Failure

    Again!

    What's the solution?

Perhaps they should disarm their opponents by smiling and looking as though they are enjoying it. Both teams looked thoroughly pained/angry/aggressive throughout. No other sport seems to generate such misery.

The solution is to give football the attention it deserves, and ignore it, while they start the search for Gareth Southgate IV, V and VI.

We won the cricket today at Nottingham.

Brilliant match. Beautiful weather. Windies routed.

      Hmmm. Perhaps.

And it wasn't 'heartbreak', was it?

      Nobody died.

Only way where going to win anything major again like the world cup again,is having a team like the 1966 winners !

Rugby union - or a good night at a rugby league match - none of the fear of violence or undercurrent of "something may happen" you sometimes get at football

the chap with the blood on his face was probably still on the pitch playing unlike the footballers who curl up in pain if the opposition so much as look a them!
Good question about who to support - Italy cos then it won't be Germany again...

Realise that the "great" premier league is made up of a lot of foreign players. The standard of football in England is therefore different to the standard of English football.

Although it's a big girls game, local councils and schools should be merging their facilities and funding and encouraging sport at the heart of the school experience. They should be getting local teams to use their facilities and not competing for funding and talent.

Perhaps we could explain to English footballers, and coaches, that there are only two halves in a match.

They seem to be taking extra time for penalties as normal in international matches.

                        England lose on penalties.

I could, but you are unlikely to take it kindly.

That sounds more like small children (of either gender) than 'big girls'.
