'Trinity School’ prowler is actually 400 miles away

This tickled me. Better safe than sorry, eh?

Not so much "odd" as admirable... the other day heard choppers going past (Fort William, Highlands..) and looking out the window saw this..

Apologies for quality as I'd not realised it was happening until I heard them so shot through a mucky window looking North-ish. Crackin' day btw..

The Royal Navy's Sea King helicopters have begun their final flypast to mark the end of their search and rescue missions in Scotland.
Based on HMS Gannet, the aircraft left Prestwick on Thursday morning to fly over Glasgow, Garelochhead, Tyndrum, Lochaber, Oban, Inverlochlarig, Stirling, Edinburgh, Ayr, Prestwick and Troon.

The flypast brings an end to 44 years of rescue service in Scotland.
Thanks to all the guys & ladies of the rescue helicopters who've provided such a great service over the years: Never needed it myself but best wishes to all of them. Up here you hear/see them 2 or 3 times a week... and the local hospital is expert in repair of broken bones from falls....

An Oban MRT spokesperson said: “The casualty had slipped from close to the Drochaid Ghlas summit into the north-eastern corrie.

“The casualty’s foot somehow got wedged stopping a further fall. Although the casualty’s partner had quickly alerted the police, the casualty was left hanging upside down from a broken foot unable to right themselves or secure themselves to the icy cliff above a stomach-churning drop for several hours until we could reach them. A harrowing predicament!

Something not unsimilar happened to me this week! Well, it felt like it at the time.

That made me laugh out loud! Not quite, but nearly. I slipped off a customer's wet, algae-ridden stone step and broke my ankle in 3 places. Very dull.

I've just been watching the fires in Alberta on Sky news. Absolutely devastating for the people there. If anyone has a few spare pounds, you can donate here:

                                https://donate.redcross.ca/ea-action...paign.id=50639

BTW, Canadian dollars are worth about 55p. The Canadian government will match your donation.
