Vote Conservative, get Labour. Gordon Brown would have been proud of this budget.

I noticed whilst watching the autumn budget budget speech on BBC TV, it posted £5 Bil funding was allocated to sort the cladding problem and later in the day on the News , a 4% levy will be applied to some Developers. Will this help the affected leaseholders ?

One hidden detail that affects landlords is that the reporting and payment of CGT has gone from a 30 day deadline to a 60 day deadline for residential property.
When I post, I am expressing an opinion - feel free to disagree, I have been wrong before.
Please don't act on my suggestions without checking with a grown-up (ideally some kind of expert).

The forecast given during yesterday budget speech , is for inflation to rise from 3.1% ( at end of Sept 2021 ) to 4% during 2022. There could be a jump in mortgage interest rate by 1%.

Mortgage Solutions said “expectations for rising interest costs” predicted by the Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) were “buried in the budget documents”. OBR forecasting inflation rising to 4%

The OBR has forecast that the Bank of England interest rate could rise to 3.5% in 2023, up from 0.1% at present.
