Signed up to Sainsburys on Monday night, placed an order Tuesday 6pm and next available slot was for Friday evening so Sainsburys in my area is down to about a 3 day wait for deliveries at the moment and they did say on the website that they are still making efforts to improve their home delivery service to reduce waiting times.

I see swimming pools are to be opened on 25th, the day after masks are required...

Going to be bl**dy difficult to breath in those in a pool.

I tried water polo once but the pony drowned...

Came across this today. It refers to America, but valid for UK I think:

It seems I either have to suck it up and walk round the supermarket gasping for air, or suffer disapproving looks & words from everyone if I choose not to wear a mask. Neither option is very appealing.

                  Any thoughts?
The wearing of the mask is to protect others in case you are an asymptomatic carrier of the virus.

Perhaps, if you cannot tolerate a normal mask, you could wear a face shield instead? These are re-usable and cleanable.

There is a video online of a doctor measuring his oxygen levels with and without a mask - they dont change. Quite a few people have panic attacks in masks but that is a different issue.

Those who cannot wear masks because they panic or have other issues can try a face shield. Again videos online to make them from a lemonade bottle if you want to try before you buy.

Morrisons do food boxes - perhaps not quite what you want but means you can spend less time in other shops. A number of local shops were very keen to advertise their delivery services. Click and collect is often available from supermarkets when home delivery is not -and varies. Some supermarkets make you go in to collect, more often there is somewhere in the car park and they bring it to your car. If ordering weeks in advance you can edit your order nearer the date - but may need to checkout again.

Sign up with your mother's details, older adults may get preference.

Ocado have been offering slots recently to former customers denied them during the pandemic - my wife told them they had a cheek expecting her to return.

Interesting American essay here. It concludes that the Covid Coup was a ruse to get rid of Trump. Presumably the same here to get rid of BoJo?

Just been to Waitrose for the first time in a week. The rather more military than usual looking masked security guard asked if I had a mask. 'No, I've got a disability', I told him, and was allowed in.

Inside, it was rather depressing. The only people moving quickly were me and the staff.

The link you provide does not lead to anything about 'a Covid Coup'.

And their delivery prices have increased substantially.

There are two links there, the first one does the https one doesn't.

TBH although it has a few points it's mainly just another "I'm alright Jack, sod everyone who's dying" rant.
