  • Common law tenant refusing to pay rent

i bought my flat in april this year and brought a mate in as a common law tennant. we agreed on 350 pcm but 2 days ago he started complaining that i was lying about how much the bills where costing since then communication and friendship have broken down. for the last 6 months i have given him chance after chance to clean up after himself but has refused. 2 months ago i had arranged a lodgerlandlord agreement and asked him to sign it he refused on 2 separate occasions he is now refusing to pay rent saying he is moving out but he will not give me a date. can anyone tell me where i stand on this

I note you are in Glasgow & thus we are presumably property is within Scotland & thus we are talking Scottish Law. Suggest you repost to the Scottish board...
