    GU10 spotlights with no earth

What's the EICR situation where GU10 Spotlights which have no earth are fitted?

Same as every other light fitting with no earth I would think. It's quite normal.

        No, and yes

The light may not need an earth but the cables termination point (the joint box) should have an earth

In other words there should be an earth at each accessory, it is then up to the installer to connect it or not as required

No cpc continuity and metal unearthed light fittings would fail an EICR

No earth at the termination where there are lights which do not require an earth would be a C3
