Thanks. I am bit worried about the stove situation, and the fact he never bothered with having the gas checked it in the year and half. Should I keep some of the rent until he comes with one?
I renewed the contract in juni 2020. Not sure if he would still not need one in that situation?...

by Kim78Good afternoon,
Just a quick question.
I have been renting a flat for over a year and a half now. I never seen a gas or electricity certificate. Whenever I ask the landlord he says it is fine or he ignores it.
Recently a burner from the stove stopped working...-

Reply to Gas and electricity certificateby jpkeatesYou can report the lack of a gas safety certificate here https://extranet.hse.gov.uk/lfserver/external/lgsr1
The landlord doesn't need an electrical safety certificate until 1st April for your property unless your tenancy began after 1 July 2020.-

Reply to Damage on stainless steel surfaceby amy131I was just curious as to what may have caused this on the surface as I haven't noticed this before with anything I use, and the only cleaning items I could see this resident uses were the wipes I mentioned, which I wouldn't expect to be corrosive. by IdlekindMy tenants moved in in November 2020 amid the corona period. They were moving back from Singapore to the UK in a window in the restrictions. I travelled back to sort the flat ( i live in Spain), but had to leave sooner than planned due to corona restrictions closing flights abroad. I tried to find an...

by shoobydooThat I may have had "plenty of income over this time" is irrelevent. If I had rented to completely new tenants every year I would have had pretty much the same income, AND 6 deep cleans, done by each departing tenant. So it is not unreasonable to expect a deep clean at the end of a longer...
