by Kim78Good afternoon,
Just a quick question.
I have been renting a flat for over a year and a half now. I never seen a gas or electricity certificate. Whenever I ask the landlord he says it is fine or he ignores it.
Recently a burner from the stove stopped working...-

Reply to Damage on stainless steel surfaceby amy131I was just curious as to what may have caused this on the surface as I haven't noticed this before with anything I use, and the only cleaning items I could see this resident uses were the wipes I mentioned, which I wouldn't expect to be corrosive. I think this is perhaps the wrong forum for such a query....

by amy131My new lodger used something on the stainless steel splashback which caused it to be covered in orange spots about 1 cm across and 1 cm apart. Discovered this spotty mess on the splashback this morning. I needed to use cream cleaner to remove the discolouration, dull spots were then left. I then used...

So it is not unreasonable to expect a deep clean at the end of a longer...

by LawcruncherWhilst the circumstances explain how you arrived where you are, unfortunately you cannot get away from the fact that you did not follow the correct procedure. The terms of the inventory are as much part of the contract as anything else and really ought to be agreed before the tenancy agreement is signed....
