by JK0A worrying thought has occurred to me tonight. If furlough ends on 30th April, as I believe it's meant to, are we going to find loads more tenants unable to pay their rent?
I know one of mine is a taxi driver, and I'm amazed he's managed to come up with the rent so far.
Any...-

Reply to What happens when furlough ends?by JK0Okay, but presumably this can't go on forever? At some point, businesses will have to acknowledge that they are bankrupt, and sack all their employees. They will then be on housing benefit, which is only about 75% of market rent....

My husband put in place through the solicitor that his father could live rent free in the property but had to pay bills and any repairs or updating. His father married later the same year. The...

Reply to accepted definition of furnished?by whatsthenewsThanks for all the replies.
I was asking because my son's just rented a flat (his first time apart from furnished student accommodation) which was advertised as furnished.

New member here. As I believe there's no legal definition of "furnished", would people offer their opinions as to what they consider the minimum items for a furnished letting? Is there a doifference between "furnished" and "fully furnished"?
If it makes...-

Reply to Trouble with step motherI've had a very similar situation, having purchased quite cheaply a flat in a Marylebone mansion block for which the occupier had been granted a life tenancy at a nominal rent (far lower than the service charges) and a lump sum in consideration of him giving up the tenancy of a top floor flat which...
