by alex1I’m a tenant. I had a new consumer unit fitted last week off the back of an EICR inspection. I was asked to not be in the property while the work was carried out (and I wouldn’t have wanted to be anyway, due to COVID, noise, and the general inconvenience of not having electricity, in that order)....

Reply to Notice period?by KTCBoth section 21 (no reason) and section 8 (ground 1 or 13) are six months at the moment.
If we get to end of the month and the increase notice period is not extended, then s8g13 would only be 2 weeks, but that's a discretionary ground. Section 21 or s8g1 would then be two months.-

by JarekI know that because of COVID as a landlord I must provide 6 months’ notice (AST fixed term finished, now rolling contract). What about tenants who breached the contract (by subletting) - do I still must give them 6 months notice? Any insight?
