Perhaps you meant your tenants who are in receipt of HB or the Housing element of UC??
Thatcher's 1988 Housing Act s5(1) makes clear tenants do not have to leave until (valid - was it??) notice expires, court, court...

Reply to Bankrupty Orderby SouthernDaveBankruptcy is crap for anyone who ends up with it. It will totally mess them up financially. I’ve had various different experiences with CCJs. Several havnt even shown up on credit checks as the courts couldn’t be bothered to log the outcome properly.

Reply to Bankrupty Orderby DoricPixieBankruptcy on their credit file can make it more difficult to rent if the new landlord conducts proper referencing. Other than that if the tenant has no assets then bankruptcy won’t do much. In fact depending on the tenant’s income and other debts it’s possible they’d end up with something like...
