  • Reply to Removing A Tenant Arrested For Drug Dealing?

Section 21 is now a 3 month time period. Section 14 is the ground you could in theory use but honestly I WOULD NEVER go down that path. Local councils with all their resources regular loose these cases at court. Anything can be said by the tenant. Fitted up, mistaken identify , reformed character etc...

  • Removing A Tenant Arrested For Drug Dealing?
    by clownst0pper
    Hello,

One of my properties was raided by police this morning under warrant. The tenant was arrested, cannabis and cash was seized, and the door kicked down with a ram.

The tenant is currently on a periodic tenancy, and has until this month always paid his rent on time (he's...

How to get a good solicitor to avoid this type of scenario ?? I noticed that in many cases paralegals are dealing with possessions not solicitors. Are eviction companies better than solicitors ?

I have today been told that I am getting evicted and that there is a hearing next week.
But I haven't received any Court papers, no notice to quit, no section 8, or section 21.
I don't even know how this is possible as I thought there was a ban on eviction hearings.
    I owe rent yes,...

Many many s21's are invalid, from many landlords, quite a few agents and some solicitors. I knew of one case where solicitor got s21 wrong 4 times in a row, getting to court each time & charging the Landlord his fees.

No sarcasm in this or my earlier post, best wishes to all

Beryl, there has been no sarcastic responses here.

If the only communicstion you have had about a eviction is an email from the solicitor then ignore it. Unless you have been given a court summons then do not go anywhere to meet anyone. If you could post up what you have received, with...

If it is money claim then why the landlord is saying to Beryl that there is a hearing about Beryl's eviction ? Beryl needs to get in touch with the solicitor. Something is not right here....

A shed/garfage is not residential and therfore it cannot be an AST, though it may have a Leasing Agreement.
LA is reqd to give you your LLs address if requested in writing....

Hi. We have been renting a flat for the past decade under an Assured Shorthold Tenancy. The flat is one of five in a single block. The back garden contains a large outbuilding comprising ten sheds. Implicitly, then, two sheds per flat. The inventory does contain the wording 'Garages, Sheds, Outbuildings:'...
