    death of a landlord

Hi My mother died recently and had a property with tenants who had signed a 3 year agreement - do i have to honor it? or does the agreement die with the landlord I am the executor and the property is in England

Yes, you do. Is an agent managing the tenancy? Does the agreement contain a break clause that might allow you to bring it to an end? You could consider 'asking' the tenants to surrender the tenancy (and might offer some incentive payment to gain their agreement).

The agreement is still valid and with the "estate of the deceased".
