Is a 6 month AST still the usual thing ?

I know a few years ago, that a 6 month AST was the minimum period you could give a tenant -is that still the case?

It was never the minimum:. AST can be 1 day, a week ....

However s21 cannot expire before 6 months from start do 6 months to pretty standard as minimum.
