Employment law help requested from fellow landlords

I have found this site invaluable in the past hence my request now.
Does anyone know of a site that offers free advice / forums in respect of employment/law. My daughter has been sacked from her job after 4 + years. She was a shop manager and on her day off the assistant closed early. The company told her she was responsible even though not there.
Any direction to a site that may offer advice would be much appreciated.

Contact ACAS - they deal directly with employment law. They have a website and also have an advice line.

Also check your own household insurance policy. Some come with personal legal protection insurance which may well cover this.

      good luck.

you could try http://swarb.co.uk/phpbb/index.php but remember this would only be initial advice and you would probably need to contact CAB or ACAS.

A shop assistant has just won £2182 in an unfair dismissal claim in a very similar situation. From today's evening times:

That sounds like unfair dismissal to me. I suggest you go to a solicitor. They will give you an initial consultation for free.

You can also try a no win no fee basis for their work.
The contents of this note are neither advice nor a definitive answer. If you plan to rely on this, you should pay somebody for proper advice.
