My question would be why would anyone allow prospective unchecked tenants to take a key to a property anyway - i certainly never would

I am going back to the late 1980's when I say this. Looking for a house in South Yorkshire, we were given bunches of keys to about 20 properties which we then went to and from one by one, settling on the very last one we looked at.

All unescorted and all we had to produce was some ID and "Can we have the keys to number xx so and so street?"

Agents have "wised up" these days!!!!

I enjoy the Real hustle, as a result I DO NOT leave my Car boot unlcoked when I am driving around and I am very careful about who comes to the door... I am amazed at the stupidity of some of the people on there tho!!!
