Letting agent no longer holding the deposit for the property

My letting agent has thrown a hissy fit as I have issued court preceding against my tenant. Regarding the deposit they have sent me this.

"If you have any queries regarding the deposit, we suggest you take this up with the TDS as we will no longer be holding the deposit for the property"

I have no idea what this means and they are refusing to talk to me.

    Any advice is gratefully received.

    Thanks

It sounds like they've transferred it from the insurance to the custodial scheme, i.e. TDS now hold the deposit in custody, not the agent with TDS providing insurance against it.

It also sounds like they might not have protected it properly or something and are trying to wash their hands of it before you realise, do you have the documents etc showing everything was done on time and the PI served to the tenant?
I'm not a lawyer, what I say is the truth as I understand it. I offer no guarantee except good intentions.

It all looks fine to me. Slightly worried that someone who is in a huff with me will be carrying out the final inspection.
