    Insuring non-payment of rent

Could I please ask if anybody has had any experience in claiming for non-payment of rent through an insurance company, and what their general MO is. So far, I have received what I could claim for from them (2 months non payment). They then took my tenant to court (S8 G10/11) and when the tenant failed to pay the amount the judge had ordered them to, completed a possession warrant which was received by the court bailiff who then sent out the eviction notice.

Once my tenant has left my house, does the insurance company follow the debt up or FIB. Also I have read something about a Default Notice. Is this something I should be thinking about.

Sorry if these sound like very basic questions and appreciate the fact that all cases and companies are completely different, but thought if anybody knows the answer, it will be this forum.

    Many thanks
