    rent recovery after court order

The tenant has vacated the property after the court order under section 8 grounds but has not paid rent. What should be my next step for recovery of the rent? Is it right that Court Bailiff should be appointed only if the tenant has not evicted, as the Court Bailiff cannot enter any other property other than the leased property? Also, how to apply for attachment of earnings and/or CCJ? To add, the claim is more than £5K.

Did you not ask for rent arrears to be included within your action?

The court asked the tenant to pay the arrears in the order by a certain date but the due date has passed and the tenant has not paid. what should be the next step for me?

Apply to the court for a CCJ to be registered against the tenant, and then you can follow up this by instructing the bailiff to seize goods at their current home, providing they have any, to an equivalent value to what is owed.
