My ex-tenant left in arrears. Her tenancy agreement named her mother and father as guarantors. The judge awarded a CCJ for £1100. However, I only named the tenant and guarantor father in the claim (Money Claim online only allows for two defendants.)
The ex-tenant is unemployed, andf the father claims to be self-employed, and unable to live on his income. The parent guarantors own their house.
My question is, is it better to get a further CCJ against the mother, who was also a guarantor so that they cannot claim that goods belong to the mother when the bailiff calls,
or just instruct the bailiffs anyway,
or give up on the bailiffs idea and just get a charge on their property
or something else altogether?
What do people think?
