Hi I am asking this question on behalf of family. My in-laws are renting a property out in London whilst living in Paris, making it very difficult to visit the property.
The tenants have asked for a replacement of the electrical cooker which broke at the beginning of the tenancy. A new electrical cooker has been delivered. However they refuse to take time off during the daytime weekdays to allow an electrician to come in to fit the new cooker. The tenants expect my in-laws to come to London and let the electrician into the property.
Can we tell the tenants that they will need to make an appointment during weekdays with the electrician- or will they have to find someone to let the electrician into the property?
