I would add to Snorkerz's reply " and if gas engineer is willing to confirm he was unable to arrange a suitable time/date with T before expiry..."
I doubt existing GSC could be 'extended' without a re-test, T should have a copy.

If you have a friendly plumber/gas safety engineer, could be worth asking whether he could extend 'cover' by a week - assuming that it's legal to 'extend' the gas safety certificate period.

So long as you have a paper trail of your attempts to get the certificate organised, then you'll be fine.

I have a contract with a well know gas maintenance company who have contacted the tenants several times to arrange a visit for gas safety certificate since the certificate is on the verge of running out but the tenants have not responded (possibly because they only have a few days left and don't want the hassle).
Any advice?

having a gs safe cert to show prospective buyers is a good thing anyway, and for what it costs you cannot risk peoples lives.

It may be tempting to ignore it but do not risk it, for the sake of a £40 - 50.00 . It will be sods law if something happened to the tenants or property, you only have to look at the big fines they are handing out now to Landlords and prison sentences these days. Better save then sorry.

In the unlikely event that something happened, you may get into trouble.
Having a certificate doesn't absolve you of being prosecuted.
It's like asking whether to get an M.O.T to cover you for 7 days, when it's valid for a year.

Once your gas safety certificate expires, if any failure in the gas system injures your tenant/occupants (or worse) you'll be criminally liable.

Reply to Section 21 During Contract Periodby DoricPixieDid the landlord/letting agency use Form 6A (it will say near the top if it is forum number 6A) as that first page contains information for the tenant.
10th June 2022 to 10th July 2022 is not one month it is one month plus one day....-

by matt001Hello,
On 09.12.2021 I moved in to a flat and signed 6 months contract.
Then on 08.04.2022 I have been served section 21 notice by the letter trough the mailbox...
I have started reading about this and found in the web that agency cannot issue section 21 notice until...-

by DoricPixieThe Department of Social Security hasn’t existed in Britain since 2001 so it is hardly surprising councils don’t do anything for DSS tenants in 2022.
Im not sure why you’re contacting the council’s housing department anyway. If you want legal advice on how to evict her you should...-

Reply to Section 21 During Contract Periodby matt001That is right... my contract started on 09.12.2021 and it ends on 08.06.2022.
The section 21 notice was served on 08.04.2022 (which in my option is less than 4 months since the start of the contract but I might be clearly biased here)
I am a bit confused what the section 21 notice...-

by Amazinthat's good to know, yeah I would be very surprised if they do anything for their DSS tenants. Their workers simply not getting paid well enough to do that. Each time I try to contact the housing department, they just give me the standard response...."you need to get a court order to evict her...

by ash72Simple answer is YES. The other flat's may be owned by other person, and the corporate just acts as middle agents for the whole building, and advertises it on it's own website, so whatever the other owners want they will advertise it.
Since there is no fee's anymore there is nothing stopping...-
