Touché bhaal. Next time I should read the question before answering it.
Back to the question - OP, is this in England/Wales? Did both tenants have joint & several responsibility? Why are you not pursuing Girl B herself or even Girl A?

Snorkez, I think girl B paid one month's rent and then moved out and did not pay anything else. OP - what you have is not nearly enough to go after girl B's mother. There's not sufficient evidence of a written agreement (guarantees have to be in writing see Statute of Frauds 1677). Your claim would therefore fail.

If girl B moved out at the end of the 6 month fixed term, why do you feel she is still responsible?

Guarantor clause
I have tried to research this through the site and apologise if this question has been answered before.
I have two tenants who both signed a AST for 6 months in October 2010. The deposit for the house was payed by one of the girls parents, girl A.
The other girl, girl B, initially paid the first months rent then suddenly moved out of the house and has not paid since. We received a text from her stating that her horse was ill and that she would not be moving back into the house.
Girl A has paid each month but it was her mother that paid for the deposit and as such girl B will not loose out as she did not pay the deposit.
The AST was only signed by girl A&B and not the guarantor.
As part of the AST but not actually on the form is the tenants person details section which is a separate form. On this form is the heading Personal reference/Guarantor's details. Girl B's mother signed the section as a guarantor but there is no reference to it being a deed etc.
My query is can I now use this to go after the guarantor for the unpaid rent.Tags: None

by nukecadI suppose another advantage is no paper or wet wipes so less blockages.
Of course if you are going to use a spray instead of paper then your metered water bill is going to go up.
And unless it's an electric seat type with a warm air blast then you are still going to have to...-

by nattieHi
Just wanted to get some advice how to handle this rather unusual request from my tenant. The couple are from India, arrived in the UK a couple of years ago. This is their second rental property. They asked me to install a toilet sprayer (like a shower attachment but installed on...-

by Hudson01I have a particular distain for conservatories, but that aside, if one is fitted then it should NOT leak, and if it does then the LL should have it fixed, if its a bit of polycarbonate nailed to a softwood frame then fair enough, that is NOT a conservatory, but if it resembles the '' Plastic temporary...

by KevinB47Hello
I have lived in my home for 2 years and the landlord is ignoring disrepair which I report to him directly.
In May 2022 I reported that every time it rains, the conservatory leaks in various places and the rainwater drips through and causes leaks on the floor.
I...-

by AndrewDodSome so called conservatories are really just greenhouses, and greenhouses are not necessarily designed to be waterproof.
If it has a concrete floor, and no electrics that might be what OP has.
I personally have one like this: https://www.robertdyas.co.uk/mercia-traditional-lea...-

by Hudson01Not strange at all in my world, its very common, the biggest issue is getting other residents to give a statement to either the Police or the council, they are very fearful or revenge attacks etc..... as an aside i can see this being the main issue with the new ' White Paper ' and its tackling of ASB...

by red_boots2My tenant informed me yesterday she thought she'd seen a Rat or Mouse in the Kitchen, I only live 5 mins away and popped over to have a look. I couldn't see any entry/exit points or any signs of droppings, however behind the kickboards under the boiler pipes were some partially eaten Easter eggs and...
