Must signature(s) on Tenancy agreement be dated?

Sorry if this is a naive qiestion... LL has given me a tenancy agreement to sign, with the effective date printed at the top. LL has signed but not indicated the date of her signature. There is no blank space for the date by where I am to sign. Does it matter whether or not there is no handwritten date by one or either of our signatures?

    No need for a date.
If you want to add one, just put it underneath your signature.
Allow tenants to protect their own deposits. I want free money when they do it wrong

I agree with thesaint, the tenanc agreement does not even have to be written if you are renting for less than 3 years. HOWEVER, just in case there is some ulterior motive for not including dates, I would definately add a date - and of course, take a copy of the signed contract BEFORE returning it.

I may be being paranoid, but it will cost nothing - just in case.

Do you mean that the document is in fact already dated?
