    Buying Property with Existing Tenants - Any Pitfalls?

    If I buy a property that already has tenants who have an AST that is now in statutory periodic, are there any pifalls I need to be aware of? If I want to change their contract to my terms - is it the same as if the property had not been sold and the existing L had wanted to change the contract?

    Could not agree more, but given the reluctance of the social sector to '' do the right thing'', we will always be in a battle to get them to house vulnerable people.

    The problem here is that the woman was not vulnerable and thus chose the private option. She is now in the wrong sector ,and the landlord is not trained to address such problems....
