    Krishna,

I believe that instead of researching how and when you could be evicted your priority should be to explain your situation to your LL and to try to pay your arrears as soon as possible.
So, have you contacted them? Are you in a position to make a payment, even partial, to show goodwill? What about your student funding?

Ground 8 would probably be applicable if taken to court as its not a full year ie 10 months and payable over 3 periods. Legislation simply cannot cover every aspect of possibilities of rent collection but it is roughly every 3 months. In any event they will probably serve both on you.

Sounds to me like a student that has pissed away their student loan down the SU bar to me!! I honestly cannot see what you expect to be able to do, you cannot pay the outstanding amount and unless you leave you will just be chalking up more costs against you...

you say you can't pay but when does the funding arrive? Once it does hopefully you can pay Oct and Jan. If you can't you shouldn't have signed the agreement in the first place and you will presumably have a very unhappy guarantor....

    .

Problem solved - landlord agreed to defer payment until after student financing is received. If it's not received by x date, legal proceedings will ensue. Many thanks for all the replies.
