    How long without hot water?

My tennants advised me on friday that they had no hot water, my usual plumber is on holiday but sent his assistant round to have a look - but unfortuantley was unable to fix it as its quite a complicated hot water system.

Question, my regular plumber wont be back till friday - is it okay to make my tennans wait till then, or should I be finding an alternative plumber to visit sooner? (which I am loathe to do becaue I have had other plumbers look at it before and not be able to fix it)

    THanks

I'll answer your question with another. Would you like to go a week without a bath or shower?

You need to get it sorted out as quickly as possible.
I offer no guarantee that anything I say is correct. wysiwyg

The answer is that it's not the tenant's problem but yours; if T does not have hot water within a 'reasonable' period then you should offer some sort of compensation.
The advice I give should not be construed as a definitive answer, and is without prejudice or liability. You are advised to consult a specialist solicitor or other person of equal legal standing.

Do they have an electric shower?

I am not sure what system you have, but you really should get one that any plumber can fix.
Allow tenants to protect their own deposits. I want free money when they do it wrong

Your problem to solve asap, do not wait till Monday they will surely use that against in the future, as earlier reply would you like to go without for a week or more !
