    Joint Tenants

Why is it recommended a husband and wife are joint tenants (especially if the wife is not working)? What additional benefit are there to the landlord for them both to be named on tenancy agreement? Conversely why would a wife not want to be named (I'm suspicious)?

If £££ is owed (missed rent, damage...) then there's 2 punters to pursue: Normal advice, go after the one most likely to have money...

If anyone didn't want to be on tenancy agreement I'd be suspicious aslo: Why did she say ?? If I didn't get a sensible answer I'd thank them kindly & carry on looking for tenants...
I am legally unqualified: If you need to rely on advice check it with a suitable authority - eg a solicitor specialising in landlord/tenant law...
