    Section 13 notice re rent increase

    I first signed the AST on 22/10/2008 for 6 months at £850pcm rent, and it specifies that £850 includes £200pcm for Council Tax, Electric, Gas and Water. I am now on periodic.


    I have received a Section 13 notice of an increase in my rent from £850 to £950 from 22nd August 2010. This Notice makes no mention of the "amounts included" in the rental for utilities - it should have mentioned these according to the notes on the back.

    Does this make the Notice (and increase in rent) unenforceable ?

    I have no access to the gas boiler, nor thermostat, nor meters, and part of the gas consumption is for part of my landlords premises.
