    Notice Of Underletting query

We own a leasehold flat which we are trying to rent out. So far without success.

Simarc are acting on behalf of the freeholder.
They have contacted us asking us for a fee before they draw up a Notice Of Underletting.

Are we required to pay this fee now? The flat is empty and has been since we moved out.

If we cannot rent it out, then we would then maybe sell it. In which case, we would have paid a fee for something that isn't even going to happen.

    Any advice would be appreciated.
