Can you rent out just a room with no other facilities?

Is it legal to rent out a single room....with no access to a kitchen or bathroom...not ever shared? God knows who would want it anyway.....unless it was given planning permission to be used as an office?

Contrary to Energise, at least partially, you can rent anything for any reason. Whether it is suitable for a tenancy agreement, and therefore suitable for someone to live there, as Energise hints at, is another thing entirely. But I could rent you a square foot of my room if I wanted(any takers?? ).

As a landlord I often need somewhere to store furniture (when tenants sometimes don't need items of mine). When I plan to fit a bathroom in a period between tenants I need to have the parts delivered & ready so that I can get moving as soon as the first tenant is out. I sometimes find a garage is just not suitable for this type of thing - especially soft furnishings, mattresses etc. In this case, my concern would be easy access - no stairs, no difficult hallways etc. Then again I would probably only pay as much as I would for garage rental, and would want a lock on the door. Might be one idea to pursue. If you had such a room available you might suggest the idea to local agents etc to see if they have a landlord with those sort of needs.

Sorry if it sounds rude but I did not understand one word of that.
I suppose he could have recently moved to London for work which is why he’s currently residing in a hotel but his pushiness and refusal to meet are red flags....
Advice needed. I m advertising a studio in London on open rent. Got a reply from a man that offered 6 month s upfront (I know - alarm bells going off). I joked he s either growing weed or can t get references. He says he can t find any studio s in London (big shortage) near where he is working that...
The only other thing I can think of is the address for the serving of notices. If that was the letting agency’s address in the original agreement you’ll need to provide the tenants with a new address where they can serve notices....
Leaving my letting agents after 6 years I will now handle everthing letting .Question with the 5 tenants original contracts all now lapsed and rolling will I need to give them new contracts on leaving the letting Agent who worked on my behalf . My thought is if the tenants are happy with the present...
Does anyone have experience with DPS stat declaration? When returning the statutory declaration from to DPS is it just literally the form I am returning? Or, do I also send additional information at that time too? Many thanks...
There are any number of things the OP can do to ensure the tenants have some degree of security and protection against rents being increased. What he does has to depend on what balance he wants to strike between the tenants and charities. Possibilities include:
I'd like to ask a brief question about creating a new will that is clear about what the executor should do when I die.
I made a will before becoming a landlord (sole) owner of residential buy to let property, and I don't have anyone I can name as an executor, and need to make a new one...
Thanks for all the coments I have given the Agency 3 months notice as there terms 1st July I take control, already with the latest tenants just moving in I have done the inventery check and not been charged by the Agent also the deposit will be sent to me we will use DPS for that. We have always been...
I would keep both documents in sync, the NTQ and the NL1 form, that way there's no issues, since they don't ask for a Tenancy agreement. I would also start the clearing up of the possession's and box them up for the time being.
I think it's easier when you don't have a grieving relative...
