The dates aren't wrong, it's just that the last day of the tenancy is 1 November. It appears you might mean it should end on 31 October as that would have been 6 months from 1 May (but maybe not if you intended it to be 7 months!). All it means is you have allowed an extra day so the fixed term ends on 1 November, and if it were to go periodic then the next rental period begins on 2 November.

As you are wanting to serve the Notice during the fixed term all you have to state on your S.21 Notice is that you require possession "after the end of the fixed term". You can serve the Notice now - you don't have to wait.

It's not complicated at all, it's just people get terribly confused for no apparent reason.

    Wrong dates on the AST

I need advice on serving a section 21. If you put the wrong dates on an AST to be from the 1st of May to the 1st of November instead of the 1st of May to the 30th of November, and now want to serve a section 21, do you put the last day of tenancy to be the 1st or what the correct date should be ( 30th nov)
