    Statute of limitations

I was wondering if the 6 years statute of limitations applies when it comes to making errors on deposit protection.

For example if the tenancy started for an inital 1 year term in which everything was served correctly by agent. However if say the tenant renewed the following year in 2014 for another year but this time there was a few days delay, by the letting agent, in renewing an insurance based policy (beyond the 30 days stipulated) could there be a potential claim arising or would the 6 year statute of limitation rule apply for that single error in 2014. Subsequent yearly renewals were all done correctly by agent.

Until a senior court (or the government) decides otherwise, the 6 year rule would apply and any claim for 2014 would now be time-barred.
When I post, I am expressing an opinion - feel free to disagree, I have been wrong before.
Please don't act on my suggestions without checking with a grown-up (ideally some kind of expert).
