    Gas Cooker Install

I'm curious now after reading another post lol

If your property has space for a gas cooker, would you (can you?) insist on seeing a certificate from your tenant to show that a new gas cooker has been installed by a registered person?
My views are my own - you may not agree with them. I tend say things as I see them and I don't do "political correctness". Just because we may not agree you can still buy me a pint lol

Yes. I advise the incoming tenant that the gas cooker must be installed by a qualified person and that they must provide me with a copy of the installation invoice (£ can be redacted) . For safety reasons this is required or I'll have to have it checked at their expense. And say that without making it sound like a threat!

Perhaps read your insurance policy and see if it requires checks on gas appliances
I am legally unqualified: If you need to rely on advice check it with a suitable authority - eg a solicitor specialising in landlord/tenant law...

Easier IMO to provide the cooker. They're not expensive and saves any problems with an unsafe one.
