Yes, they have been in the UK at least 1.5 years but no secure job, seemingly not much savings, moving around a lot in recent months. Their English isn't great, which I think is likely a bit of a barrier with regards to getting work. The last lodger moved to the UK from an EU country for better pay.

by jpkeates1) It might be contradicted somewhere else, but based on what you've posted, yes.
2) I think that whoever has put the agreement together has simply made a mistake, there's no point having a six month's break clause in a six month tenancy. It would be a minimum of six months though, you're right...-

by forest777Good afternoon,
We are just about to sign a TA which appears to be a six month fixed term. We say appears but the holding deposit stipulated a 12 month tenancy with a 6 month break clause which is what we wanted.
However the TA which arrived today (one day before move in!)...-

Hello all.
We got a possession order (and warrant) against our tenants (England) later last year. The findings of the court were:
1) Our tenants should vacate by 8th Dec’20 ( they’re still in situ)
2) The tenants should pay the landlords costs of approx £420.
Obviously...-

Reply to New AST under probateSurely the landlord is "Estate of Mum"??
I don't think any new tenancy agreement is needed - surely the old one simply continues?? But IANAL.

by PerceHello All
I am waiting for an eviction ban to be lifted but as time goes I lose hope that it will happen in the near future or ever. What then are our options to get our property back if the tenant never moves out ? My tenant won’t move out until bailiffs evict him. I have PO based...-

by jpkeatesAs far as I know, you can't serve a s8 notice and proceed to court when you already have a court order for possession.
You can't simply keep trying the same matter, it's an abuse of process.
Section 8 notices have mandatory and discretionary grounds.
Had you not got a s21 notice,...-

by nukecadNot on the s8 for arrears if he pays them off before any ruling. - But the Possession Order that you say you already have from the s21 may still be valid.
That existing PO validity (if you later issue a s8 for arrears) is what I'm not sure about.
Of course any of this depends...-
