      How long was your tenancy -- it was at least two years. If the drain person did indeed fish female sanitary products out of the drain that serves only this property I cannot see that you (the OP) is not responsible. Products that are many years old will long ago be rendered unidentifiable. Perhaps they photographed them.

          They can’t, because it wasn’t. We moved out at the end of September 20 and I received the letter from the LL last week.....she said she sent a cleaner in, two weeks ago, and when the cleaner flushed the toilet it led to a flood. When I emailed giving notice I told her the toilet was playing up again. She says she wants compensation for the two months she couldn’t rent it out!
