    Tenant moving between Flats

I am about to start the Tenancy process via OpenRent (I have asked this Q of them too).

The tenant will be moving into our Flat 1 at £112 per week.

However, when it becomes available in 8 weeks time, we have agreed he can move into Flat 2 (at £119 per week).

What is the best way to handle this?

Do we simply agree to forfeit the existing AST and write a new one - if so, does his Deposit have to be returned and then re-registered?

Do I have to issue all the prescribed forms again?

    Thank You

Give him an 8 week AST. Obvs.

Or deed of surrender on 6 months AST

Yes, all new paperwork. And checkout, deposit deductions (if any) re. Credit check (he might have lost his job, got new CCJ ....)
I am legally unqualified: If you need to rely on advice check it with a suitable authority - eg a solicitor specialising in landlord/tenant law...

Yes, I'm sorry but there are not really any shortcuts here. Full check-out/check-in is your best option, with all new paperwork.
